What should I expect after my Dysport® treatment?
Immediately following the treatment, you may notice mild discomfort and the sensation similar to a bug bite for a period of 15 – 20 minutes.
You may resume normal activity right away, however, there are a few instructions to follow:
- Keep your head in an upright position (no lying down) for four (4) hours after your treatment
- Don’t NOT rub or manipulate the skin around the treated area for four (4) hours after your treatment
- Exercise the treated muscles by frowning and smiling for four (4) hours after your treatment. This allows the treated muscles to absorb the Dysport®
When will I notice the Dysport® is working?
Usually within 2-5 days you will notice softening of the lines on the treatment site. Improvement will continue to occur over the next two weeks.
When can I apply make-up?
Make-up may be applied immediately following the treatment.
When should I return to have my Dysport® treatment re-evaluated?
We ask patients to return in two (2) weeks to evaluate effectiveness of the Dysport®. Any necessary touch-ups are performed at this time. The final effects of Dysport® usually last up to 4 month.
