BOTOX® Injections

What should I expect after my BOTOX® treatment?
Immediately following the treatment, you may notice mild discomfort and the sensation similar to a bug bite for a period of 15 to 20 minutes.You may resume normal activity right away, however, there are a few instructions to follow:

• Keep your head in an upright position (no lying down) for four hours after your BOTOX® treatment.
• Do NOT rub or manipulate the skin around the treated area for four hours after your treatment.
• Exercise the treated muscles by frowning and smiling for four hours after your treatment. This allows the treated muscles to absorb the BOTOX®.

When will I notice the BOTOX® is working?
Usually within 3-5 days you will notice softening of the lines at the treatment site. Improvement will continue to occur over the next two weeks.

When can I apply make-up?
Make-up can be applied immediately following the BOTOX® treatment.

When should I return to have my BOTOX® treatment re-evaluated?
We ask patients to return in 2 weeks to evaluate the effectiveness of the BOTOX®. Any necessary touch-ups are performed at this time. The final BOTOX® usually lasts between 4 to 6 months.
