Laser Skin Resurfacing & Technology

The Derma-K laser combines the benefits of Erbium and CO2 laser treatments in the same procedure. Now, the deep penetrating power of the CO2 laser and the softer treatment of the Erbium laser work together to provide controlled laser skin resurfacing.

The Derma-K system was designed to treat wrinkles around the eyes, lips, forehead, and cheeks. Facial scars, sun-damaged skin, and age spots can also be treated with this advanced treatment tool.

The Advantages of Dual Treatment
The Derma K system gives us precise control over the exfoliation process, facilitating and enhancing the natural process by which your skin renews itself and repairs its damage.  By ablating the outer layer of sun- or age-damaged or acne-scarred skin, the smother, fresher skin underneath is revealed.

By combining these two lasers, the Derma K laser skin resurfacing system can remove the outer layers of sun-damaged skin carefully where necessary or utilize the penetrating power of the CO2 laser to remove more layers of skin and provide heating to subsurface tissues that can contribute additional skin tightening to your treatment.

Candidates for Derma K Treatment
The ideal candidate for laser skin resurfacing with the Derma K laser is seeking treatment for both fine and deep wrinkles, and dull, sun-damaged skin, including skin with brown sun and age spots, but not red facial discolorations.  Scars can also see improvement through Derma K laser resurfacing treatment.

After your treatment, you may experience redness, swelling, and some pain that can last from seven to fourteen days depending on the level of skin resurfacing treatment you received.  Your skin may be photosensitive.
